چکیده
Although the current field of application Al–alloy 7075 (AA7075) is vast, it still limited due to some drawbacks, especially its susceptibility stress corrosion cracking (SCC). This work aims evaluate microstructural, mechanical, and (SCC) behaviors on an AA7075 in flat format deformed by a combination repetitive corrugation straightening (RCS) accumulative roll bonding (ARB) techniques. Four different deformation routes were applied, namely: ARB (A), RCS (R), + (RA) (AR). As expected, efficiency for grain refinement depends applied route, terms average size regarding initial condition IC): AR > A RA R. All conditions resulted unimodal widened distributions micro-, submicro- nano-metric dimensions. The study crystallographic orientations showed that route R did not generate any new texture, whereas preferred obtained A, RA, AR. hardness three-point bending tests improvement mechanical strength following order: cracks per cm2 indicated best SCC resistance was RA. Based above, properties until one pass single process.

Zinc based bioalloys processed by severe plastic deformation – A review
Zinc based alloys have recently attracted great attention as promising biodegradable metals. Zinc exhibits moderate degradation rates in biological fluid and the zinc releases during the degradation process is considered safe to human systems. However, these materials exhibit critical limitations in terms of mechanical properties for medical applications. Adding alloying elements as well as gra...
متن کاملNano- and Micro-mechanical Properties of Ultrafine-Grained Materials Processed by Severe Plastic Deformation Techniques
The processing of metals through the application of severe plastic deformation (SPD) techniques provides the potential for achieving exceptional grain refinement leading to ultrafine-grained (UFG) materials in bulk solids. These materials generally exhibit high strength but very limited ductility at room temperature (RT) leading to the so-called paradox of strength and ductility. The recent dev...

MICROSTRUCTURE AND MECHANICAL PROPERTIES OF THE ULTRAFINE-GRAINED COPPER TUBE PRODUCED BY SEVERE PLASTIC DEFORMATION
In this paper, cyclic flaring and sinking (CFS) as a new severe plastic deformation (SPD) method was employed to produce the ultrafine grain (UFG) copper tubes. The extra friction has eliminated in the CFS method that provided the possibility for production of longer UFG tubes compared to the other SPD methods. This process was done periodically to apply more strain and consequently finer grain...
